Money is one of the biggest drivers behind your business — but it’s also one of the most avoided.
I didn’t grow up dreaming of spreadsheets. Honestly? I failed math in high school.
But here’s what I’ve learned: if you don’t know your numbers, you don’t feel in control.
Anxiety creeps in. Decisions feel fuzzy. And burnout follows fast.

Getting clear on cash flow, profit, and how money actually moves through my business didn’t just help me feel more confident — it helped me build something that lasts.

These are the tools, books, and systems that made that possible for me — and might for you too.

Tools I Use + Recommend

  • Profit FirstThe book that flipped my entire cash management approach. If you’re always wondering where your money went, start here.

  • ClockworkThis one helped me understand the value of time as much as money. Especially useful for figuring out what only you can do — and what needs a system.

  • QuickBooks Online — I use QBO to track all of our bakery revenue and expenses. It’s practical, dependable, and once it’s set up right, it turns into one of the best tools for making smart business decisions.

Templates + Systems I’ve Built

  • Weekly Financial Pulse Check
The 15-minute Monday routine that helps me understand where we’re at — cash in, cash out, and what’s coming. It’s more useful (and less anxiety-inducing) than just checking the bank balance. (Link coming soon)

  • Revenue Breakdown SheetSee where your money is coming from, what’s most profitable, and where you’re burning margin. (Link coming soon)

  • Pricing Confidence Calculator
